Hello,
If you read my last post found here… you will know that I’m more than a little gushy over round – cushions of late. Since then, my search for the perfect round – cushion has continued and whilst I have found a worthy bunch right here (always such amazing things at Castle and Things!), I still haven’t been able to source any magical one’s in the reals. So I thought that I’d share a super – quick to make, round – cushion tutorial with you … it’s an easy one to do (you don’t have think too hard at all) and it is a very therapeutic thing to make… I do hope that you enjoy;

TIP:
Choose a large cushion insert for your round pillow. You want it to be bigger than your cushion cover so that you achieve a really plump – looking cushion.

TIP:
I used a 3.5-length stitch (because it will give you a more professional-looking stitch). Lastly, to achieve a perfectly round circle, do the following;
BONUS TIPS:
When you stitch your cushion closed, make sure that you stuff your cushion insert way inside the cushion so that you are able to sew your seam more easily.
Fabric buttons are easily made by cutting out circles about 2 cm larger than your button. Hand sew around your circle about 0.5 cm from the edge and pull it tight over your button. Tie a double knot with your cotton, then using a separate needle and thread hand sew your button on directly through the centre of your cushion.
This is definitely one of the easiest tutorials I’ve made but should you have any questions, do feel free to ask below. Oh and if you do make this tutorial, please email or share your pics with us over on Instagram.

Oh I see what you did – you tempted us last week with gorgeous round cushions and now you have us wanting to make them too. Very clear my friend lol. They are gorgeous though. I will definitely be giving these babies a go xx
Sonia, they are one of the easiest things I’ve made for my home. And I don’t want to sound like I’m bragging either but they look so cute! You will love. Wondering how your makeover is coming along? Will we get an update soon lovely?? Xx
I’m visiting from Life Love and Hiccups and I love these cushions. I like having lots of cushions of different shapes and sizes, and the decorative button just finishes them off nicely!
Hi Kaylene, such a good place to visit from too! Do admire Sonia and all that she does and writes about + she is the dearest of people. Thankyou for your lovely comment, love different shaped cushions too! Lovely to meet you Rx
Hi Bele, Thankyou! Oh no how frustrating…. I reckon you could handsew this project. Check out this link http://www.perestroika.ca/html2/vest/handstitching.php. You could try the catch stitch or the baseball stitch. I’d buy a really big needle and use a twine to make it really strong. Good luck if you try! Lovely to meet you. Rx
