The hero curve of the kitchen bench, the round mirror and the oval pendants further enhance the curved theme established in this open-plan living area.

Challenges associated with living and building on a small lot in inner city suburbs like Paddington existed. For example, the home was on a busy road with very close neighbours.
To achieve a comfortable level of acoustics and to satisfy fireproof standards, they used streamlined varieties of plasterboard to meet specific needs. These varieties were:

There are multiple design moments throughout this home that are visually spectacular. Of note is the bright-coloured painted mural (pictured above). Whilst Mural Art materialised from the caveman era, I believe there is nothing more striking, personal and modern than art painted directly onto a blank wall.

In the bathroom, charcoal-coloured stone tile finishes line the interior walls and are retrofitted with copper piping to give a textured contemporary-industrial look. The warm elements paired with the textured tiles, the wood vanity & cement top provide a beautifully moody palette.
