The hero curve of the kitchen bench, the round mirror and the oval pendants further enhance the curved theme for this open plan living area.

There are always challenges associated with living and building on a small lot in inner city suburbs like Paddington; the home has close neighbours and is situated on a busy road. To achieve a comfortable level of acoustics and to satisfy fireproofing standards they used streamlined varieties of plasterboard designed to meet specific needs. Two of these varieties were:

There are many lovely moments throughout this home. And the bright coloured mural seen above was a standout feature for me personally. Murals have been around since the cave man era and I believe there’s nothing more striking, personal and unique than art painted directly onto a blank – wall. I’m currently waiting on the details of the mural painted above, as soon as it’s revealed I’ll pop back and let you know.

In the bathroom, deep – coloured stone tile finishes line the interior walls and are retro fitted with copper pipping to give it a textured contemporary – industrial look. These warm finishes along with the wood vanity and cement top make for a gorgeously moody palette in this bathroom.
