The Seam collection is prominent Australian designer Adam Cornish’s first collection for Tait. Tait are an Australian brand of outdoor furniture makers, well known for their premium outdoor furniture which celebrates the Australian outdoor lifestyle in a contemporary way. The Seam collection was conceived with a design process not dissimilar to the way in which a piece of fabric is tailored into a garment. A refined seam is made along the spine of each chair. Forging a design method of cuts , folds and joins with sheet metal like a seamstress would do so with a garment in the making.

The chair, stool and table are available with the option of either powder coated stainless steal and or a variation of finished timbers. In staying true to Tait’s ethos and design DNA, the collection has been designed and made to last a lifetime. The seam shell and table top is made from aluminium that is highly resilient with great corrosion resistance. The chair, stool and dining table legs are made from stainless steal also with great strength and corrosion resistance; the powder coat adds an additional barrier of corrosion resistance. Modified timbers have been selected for the timber leg option offering stability and decay resistance. The timber is finished with an advanced coating system giving a UV, wind and water protection.
