When the media release for L’Hotel Marrakech landed in my inbox, its sheer beauty moved me. And naturally I saw it as my duty to share it with you too…
L’Hotel Marrakech is located in Bab Doukkala, Marrakech. This historical 19th century hotel (or Riad, meaning a large traditional house built around a central courtyard) was originally the central part of the Caidal Palace. L’Hotel is located in Marrakech’s medina, near to the Jemaa el-Fnaa square.
It consists of five spacious suites surrounding a unique courtyard and pool. Owned by designer Jasper Conran and opened in 2016; this retreat showcases fine – Moroccan craftsmanship layered with an eclectic mix of antique finds, textiles, lighting and art from his own personal collection.
L’Hotel has a visual beauty that transcends modern style architecture and design; its high ceilings, well – constructed line, shape and design sits timeless and proud. And its unfussy decor allows the architectural design of the building to shine.
The hotel offers great food via traditional Moroccan cooking. Seasonal local produce is sourced by the kitchen daily. And guests can enjoy salads, fresh vegetables, slow cooked Tagines, grilled meat and fish.
Tell me, would you too visit L’Hotel Marrakech in a heartbeat?
I particularly like that Conrads re-design has enhanced the buildings old world glamour whilst creating an atmosphere of comfort and un-pretentiousness.
I do too Lauren. So beautifully done! Thankyou for popping by. Rachael
